Quest for Life – “The Broken Road” Retreat

This is what the LORD says:
“Stand at the crossroads and look;
ask for the ancient paths,
ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
and you will find rest for your souls.
But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

- Jeremiah 6:16

You wouldn’t be receiving this link if you hadn’t made a choice to follow an ancient path, a still, small voice prompting you on to a choice different than others.  These ancient paths, while traveled by others before us, are still paths of uncertainty.  They are, indeed, broken roads and untrodden trails, trails of adventure and danger.  They are the paths of the ones choosing to follow the God who knows nothing of domestication and pavement.  And the promise is clear – follow these paths and you will find rest for your soul.

Judy and I are thrilled to share this weekend with you.  Make no mistake, you are exactly where you are needed to be and THAT is thrilling.  Join us as we spend three days growing in relationship with each other and with God who calls us to travel a broken road.

A NOTE ABOUT FRIDAY: We understand that most of you will need to take Friday off from your responsibilities.  From our short life thus far, we have learned that even now, and at the end of our days, we won’t look back and wish we had spent one more day at our desk or just a few more hours on the job site.  The hours we will wish for will be those hours with family and friends, depth and relationship.  And so we gently encourage you to take this day off.  Tell, don’t ask.  Come with commitment and courage.

Your payment includes the retreat portion of the weekend, 3 nights in Canmore at the cabin and meals from Friday breakfast to Sunday lunch.  Your fee does not include gas, meals out or extra spending money.  We would like to suggest we meet in Canmore late Thursday night.  It’s a four hour drive if you make just a short stop halfway.  With kids, it’s longer.  Alternatively, plan to leave earlier Friday morning and arrive by noon.  The rest of the details will follow.  As a teacher once said to me “We’ll eat when we’re hungry, sleep when we’re tired and play to exhaustion!”.

For your convenience, we have included the option to pay via PayPal.  It’s a very simple process and limits how much back and forth we have to do with cash.  Or you can bring cash by Sunday night this week.

Pay $55.00 with the link below.  And set your intention for the weekend….

Your hope for the weekend?
